Rahul Gandhi Meets Bajrang Punia, Other Wrestlers

Bajrang Punia announced that he will return the Padma Shri award to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Virender Singh also said that he would return the Padma honor by walking his path. Vinesh Phogat on Tuesday decided to return the national honour. He has also written an open letter to the Prime Minister about the decision to return the Khel Ratna and Arjuna awards.

In such a situation, Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with the wrestlers is considered to be very significant. The agitating wrestlers hope that this will create pressure on the Centre.
