PM Modi takes Mamata Banerjee’s comment to slam Congress
Congress falls down in alliance in Bengal. India’s ‘partner’ Trinamool is not willing to give up more than two seats to Congress. And this time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has “sprinkled salt on the wound”. He also brought up Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee’s sarcastic comment about whether Congress can win 40 seats in the country. PM Modi used Mamata’s comment as a tool to ‘punch’ the Congress.
Mamata attacked the century-old party in the context of Asanorfa. He said, “Congress, I don’t know whether you will get 40 seats or not, it is fighting for 300 seats all over India.” The Prime Minister used that comment of Mamata, one of the faces of the opposition unity, to smear the Congress. He delivered a thank-you speech to the President in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. There is Modi’s punch, “Congress is facing a big challenge in Bengal. It is being said whether they will get 40 seats in the whole country!” This was followed by his ‘prayer’, “I pray that they (Congress) retain 40 seats.” This is not the end, the Prime Minister claimed, “The party (Congress) thinking has also become outdated. When the thinking became outdated, the team also outsourced their work. Such a big party has ruled the country for so many years. This is the end of them! So bad! I am not happy at all. I have sympathy for you. But what will the doctor do, when the patient…. What else can I say!” After the Lok Sabha, the Prime Minister also slammed the Congress in his reply speech in the Rajya Sabha.
It should be noted that despite calling for a single movement in Bengal, the Trinamool is in the India alliance, the Chief Minister has said this before. On the contrary, the state Congress president Adhir Chowdhury repeatedly attacked the Trinamool government, but the top leadership of the Congress did not raise its voice against the Mamata administration. On the contrary, they have said that they still believe in the alliance. They have claimed Mamata Banerjee as an alliance partner. Modi repeatedly tried to bring this political ‘pity’ of Congress before the country, according to the opinion of the political circles.
Political circles claim that Modi’s targeting of the Congress from the Parliament House speech is particularly significant. The Congress wanted to form an anti-BJP alliance ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. However, Modi continued to try to highlight the internal conflicts and loopholes of the alliance in front of the whole country. He repeatedly tried to explain that there is no atmosphere of trust within BJP’s ‘Alternative India’ alliance. Partners are busy internally. In particular, there is no relationship between partners with the Congress entrepreneurs of the alliance! Rather, the centuries-old group is virtually on the verge of extinction. As a result, the dream of forming a government in alliance with him is actually not possible!
