It should be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Ayushman Bharat scheme on September 23, 2018. It was he who announced the name Ayushman Bharat. The tagline of the project is Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. The project was known by this name for the last five years. In November last year, the center announced the new name ‘Ayushman Arogya Mandir’. About 10 crore families in the country are under the scheme. According to the central government, more than 1.6 lakh health centers have been opened in the country in the last five years under this scheme.
